Designed to cut clean holes in wood and plastic, these WL Fuller Type “R” counterbores can be used with or without stop collars. This type of counter bore produces flat bottom holes for the heads of nails, spikes, and bolts allowing them to be sunk far enough beneath the surface. This allows for a wood plug to be used to cover the head. These counterbores can be set at any point on a twist drill and are held fast with two hex-socket screws. Adding a stop collar lets you control the depth of cut. Designed for clean cutting. The Type R counterbores are made of stainless steel. The extension lip pattern cutting edges allow it to cut clean holes through wood and plastic without tearing.

The counterbore set, item WF11890009, includes size 3/8 with 1/8 drill hole, 7/16 with 1/8 drill hole, 7/16 with 5/32 drill hole, 1/2 with 1/8 drill hole,1/2 with 5/32 ddrill hole, 1/2 wutg 3/16 drill hole,1/2 with 7/32 drill hole, 1/2 with 15/64 drill hole, and 1/2 with 1/4 drill hole. Brad-point drills, v-point drills, taper-point drills, and stop collars are also listed to fit the counterbore set.
